British Council Connect ZA, in partnership with Fak’ugesi African Digital Innovation Festival, has launched ColabNowNow, an exciting collaboration project opportunity for young artists, coders, architects and storytellers. ColabNowNow is calling out for 5 digital storytellers, and 10 artists working in digital in Southern Africa, East Africa, West Africa and the UK to take part in the collaboration project in Johannesburg during the Fak’ugesi Festival, 06-16 September 2017.

Applications open for Dance Umbrella 2018

Applications are now open for Dance Umbrella 2018 – choreographers are invited to apply. Dance Umbrella 2018, the premier platform of South African contemporary choreography and dance and funded by the National Lotteries Commission, will run at various theatres and venues in Johannesburg, Gauteng from March 7 – 18, 2018.

Brooks International Fellowship Programme

Tate, in collaboration with Delfina Foundation, invites applications for the Brooks International Fellowship Programme 2018. Now in its fourth year, the programme will enable three curators, researchers, art historians or other museum professionals to work with Tate colleagues in London for three months commencing January 2018, complemented by activities at Delfina Foundation.

Call for applications: Project Assistant

The Goethe-Institut Johannesburg is looking for a freelance administrative project assistant for a 4-month period from beginning September to mid-December 2017. The assistant will be working on the Henrike Grohs Prize for African Artists. In September and December it will be a half-time position and October and November a full-time position. The application deadline is 14 July.
